Set up IP address translation on the DIR655

I have 5 static public IP addresses assigned by my ISP. I like to use one of these static public IP addresses to access one of my PCs in my office from the outside. So I like to configure something like:

65.11.22.44 <-> 192.168.1.100

This translation is good for all protocols and all ports. Can someone point me to where I can configure this on the DIR655?

You will need a DFL series firewall to accomplish that. A cheaper way would be to connect a switch behind your modem and then connect the computer/server from there (use software firewall) and then connect the rest of your stuff behind your DIR-655 which is also connected to your switch. The main drawback with this route is routing itself between. That computer/server and your local network would have to route back out.

Again if it will be used as a web/FTP server then it's not really a big deal. If you need to be passing data all day long then I would suggest a more robust router and not a home/consumer router.

I certianly agree his way is the best way to do it: Modem > Switch > Servers + Router > PCs on local LAN. There  "may" be another way though. I have never played with it, but you could try it and tell us how it goes.

You would fill in your static IP info, and set it as WAN. And then set up your computer on the network as static? I have a feeling this won't work, but its worth a try.
