OS X Time Machine issues continue after beta firmware
« on: October 30, 2011, 10:45:46 AM »

Hi All -

I've upgraded to the latest beta firmware version that was supposed to fix my issues with using the DNS-320 as a backup for my Mac (running Lion). The drive now appears when I open the Time Machine preferences (which didn't happen before), I select it as the backup disk, and it connects. However, after I provide a username/password, I'm told:

"The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported."

I see many of you with Macs have gotten it to work...how?! 3 hours of playing with settings and even re-formatting my NAS has gotten me no where!   ???

Thanks in advance for any pointers...

I think I may have just found the answer...it looks like the 2.02 beta version (w/TM support) was deleted from the FTP server!

The beta firmware I downloaded and installed looks like 2.01!!

Does anyone have a copy of the 2.02 available somewhere for download?

D-Link removed the latest beta version from distribution until further notice. You will have to wait for a revised (or new) beta version to obtain access to the Time Machine fix.
