DI-524 Help
« on: April 02, 2012, 11:40:39 AM »

I know this doesn't belong here, but there's no place else.

I have a DI-524 (obviously), but there's a problem. It refuses to connect properly. I use a Windows XP, and at times it registers as a connection, but won't connect to the internet. Mostly it just dismisses the router as an unidentified connection that still won't connect to the internet.

When i go to the designated page, a "Firmware Update" screen appears sometimes, prompting me to browse for the router for it to update. The router does not appear at all within these files. Please help?

Your NIC drivers up to date on XP?
Swap out LAN cables to be sure.

What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? Same thing?

Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.
Turn off all devices accept for one wired PC while testing.
