Hi Everyone,
Here is my problem. My ISP has split the voice line (MPLS) and the data line into 2 separate connections on a T1 circuit. The voice line has been given an internal IP address of 192.168.1.1 and is connected directly to the local lan via a switch, while the data line has a wan IP that connects to the DIR-655 router that then has an internal IP address of 192.168.1.253. The PBX points to the voice IP as it's gateway but cannot get DNS resolution because the does not support any. Thus the PBX is unable to get support, updates, or do any email notifications. Inbound and outbound calls are working.
The question is, if I point the PBX to the router, what do I need to do on the DIR-655 such that I can route voip traffic in and out to the voip line IP 192.168.1.1 and allow data and DNS resolution to route through to the WAN?
Thanks in advance.
