NAS fails to recognise USB HD
« on: December 22, 2011, 08:27:46 AM »

I'm afraid this is going to be an obvious answer, but I am really lost. I have looked at the forums and I can't find a solution.

I just got my DNS-320. Connected my Seagate USB HD and worked fine: I could see my files from the computer explorer.

I turned off the NAS, plugged out the USB.

Following day I turn on the NAS, with the USB plugged and it can not recognise it. The USB HD has power, but the LED does not light.

I tried connecting the USB HD to the laptop and works fine. I connected a flash USB to the NAS and I can see it in the network.

What is wrong? I have switched on and off, checked the System Status but it is just not there, although it has power.

Any suggestion will be really appreciated.
Thanks
