Wireless signal greatly reduced

Ok, some time this week the strength of my wireless signal has been greatly degraded.  I have not had any problems connecting to the router in the past at any location in my house.  Now if I am 20 feet away I barely have 1 bar of signal. 

I have tried changing channels, and rebooting the router.  It has not improved.

Have you made any recent changes on the wireless client (new drivers, etc) ?

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.

What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode G or mixed G and N?
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/Auto TPIK and AES.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Use InSSIDer to find out.
Turn off Short GI and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

Some things to try:
Ensure DNS IP addresses are being filled in under Setup/Internet/Manual? You can find these under Status/Device Info/Wan section.
Turn off ALL QoS (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP.

Ok, to reiterate - nothing in my place has changed.  Someone nearby may have installed a new wireless router or cordless phone, but not in my house.  I haven't changed a single thing on my computer or router in months until trying to troubleshoot this.

What wireless modes are you using?
Mixed 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b

Try single mode G or mixed G and N?

This should have nothing to do with it.  Using WEP though.

What wireless devices do you have connected?
Laptop, Wii, 360.

No

Yes, I can see quite a few

Try single mode G and WPA2/Auto TPIK and AES.
Try a different wireless PC or device and see if the signal is the same?

Tried just g with no security, and there was no change.

Tried just using my phone to connect.  I can walk around my house and see signal strength.  It's essentially terrible more than about 10 feet from the router.

How about a factory reset of the router and test again?

Firmware is the most recent - 1.35
HW is A2

I'll try the factory reset tomorrow, but not holding out much hope.

I would have to guess that the "quite a few" other wifi routers near by could be effecting your wifi connectivity. I would check to see if there are any open channels using InSSIDer and manually set a channel from AutoScan.
