DNS-323 & Macs (firmware request 1.07)
« on: March 11, 2009, 05:29:51 AM »

I now have three 323s on my home network.  Not being able to rename the 'Volume_1' share is a problem with Macs.  I cannot mount more than one 323 at login time as the Mac thinks they are the same drive.  (Yes Macs should handle this issue better).  Being able to change the share name would be great.

Which version of Mac OSX are you using?

10.5.6.  OS/X uses the volume name as the descriptive name.  If I mount my three 323's, they all appear on the desktop as Volume_1.  Creating alias' does not help as the alias' never point to the right drive on restart as only one drive will actually be mounted.
