5 Ghz Deletes Wireless Network
« on: January 15, 2012, 11:02:43 AM »

I have a dwa-556 adapter and dir-655 hub or router. I've read up on the 2.4 and 5 Ghz settings and decided to give it a try.  Setting MODE to 11n(5 Ghz) g and d the Device Mgr resets the Network Adapter and I then check my Manage Network to find that the Wireless Adapter is now gone. Both d-link pieces of equipment support 5 Ghz.  xmit.  Any help?

Neither of these two products run on the 5 GHz band. Both run on 2.4 only.

Both devices are N mode running on 2.4GHz frequency with the channel width 20/40 MHz.  Only dual band router runs on 2.4/5GHz.  None of your devices run on 5GHz.
