Logging to a syslog server doesn't work?
« on: May 18, 2012, 06:02:32 AM »

We recently purchased 2 DAP-2553's for evaluation, and while I like them a lot in most respects, logging to a syslog server seems to be completely non-functional.  I have tested this on two 2553 devices, and tried to log to my primary syslog server which is running graylog2, and also to a linux test box I set up as a syslog server just to test the 2553's against a second server.

Is anyone else having this issue, or to flip it around, is anyone successfully logging to a syslog server from a dap-2553, and if so what firmware rev are you on?

I might call up your local DLink support office and ask about this.

Only thing I would mention is to turn off any security on the syslog server that might be blocking data coming from the DAPs.
You might try Syslog Watcher and see if that exhibits the same thing. What I use to capture logs from my routers.
