Email Alerts 'Unknown Sender'
« on: March 12, 2009, 09:43:54 AM »

I've setup the email alerts to notify me by sending emails through my ISP mail server to my gmail account.  When I receive emails they come into the inbox from (Unknown Sender).  They're not being marked as spam which is good but how can I change it so that the 'from' is a little more descriptive?

As a side note I have a HTPC and it's setup to email alerts to my Gmail when it wakes up from Standby mode and those emails show the correct 'from' address and I'm using the same email settings for it as the 323 NAS.

What do you have in the sender email field - with my DNS-323, whatever I enter in this field shows as the sender's email.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.

In the sender email field I have my personal email address.  The receiver email field is the destination email address which I want the alerts to go to.
