Possible to add more IR LED's inside camera?
« on: February 09, 2012, 04:44:58 PM »

Any thoughts regarding opening the camera up and adding more IR LED's to improve night vision capturing?  Would like to incorporate internal DC power supply to drive the LED's as well.

Has anyone taken their camera apart?  Is there space to drill and add new lights?  Enough power to do so?

I don't want to add secondary units due to the additional mounting and power requirements, not to mention another thing mounted that draws attention to people.

Thanks.

I suppose it goes without saying that if you perform this mod, you'll void your warranty. That said, if you move forward with this project, please post your results, procedure, and instructions for other interested users on this forum.
