How to add a 2nd Drive
« on: February 12, 2012, 04:09:38 PM »

Hi there, I currently have a 1TB Drive in the NAS labeled Volume 1. I want to add a second HDD that Ive already wiped of any partition.

My only concern is when adding the 2nd Drive, the Nas might accidentally format the first Volume, when attempting to format the newly installed 2nd drive.

Does the NAS automatically format the drive, or does it have to be done manually in the UI?

No, you have to manually format the drive and you will be prompt on how to configure the new drive when accessing the NAS webUI.
