Hello,
We recently installed a DVX-2000MS phone system and got the system to work off of one analog telephone line. However, we took the day off the following day, only to return to the office and find that the phone system broke itself over the break. When we try to make outgoing calls, it says all lines are currently in use, and the call log says Error: All outgoing lines are busy. Whenever we try to call in, we hear ringing indefinitely, but no response with the phone system.
Currently on 1.0 SP2, and all relevant hardware (DVX-2000MS, DVG-3104, and four DPH-125MS) are running the up-to-date firmware.
I suspect there may have been a minor power outage, since there were two diagnostic messages during our day off:
Number: 31
Date and Time: 11/11/2009 8:17:04 AM
Type: Error
Message: The Microsoft Response Point base unit cannot obtain an IP address. The base unit may not be properly connected to the network or the DHCP server may not be responding.
Restart the base unit after the problem is corrected.
and:
Number: 28
Date and Time: 11/11/2009 7:30:08 AM
Type: Warning
Message: The IP address of the base unit has changed from 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.3.104. You may need to reconfigure phones and phone line adapters .
Things I have tried:
- power-cycling all devices, including a relevant router.
- set static IPs to all devices except the Base Unit (since you can't).
- resetting the DVG-3104 gateway to factory defaults.
- switching between all the phone line ports on the gateway.
- testing the phone cable and outlet itself (there are no problems here, I am able to use a regular phone on that particular line and outlet).
I don't really know what else to do. If I've truly exhausted all my options, I suppose I'll go about requesting an exchange. Any suggestions or tips to help solve my situation would be greatly appreciated.
