Have spent a frustrating few hours searching for answers to this to no avail.
Hope someone here can help.
I have a DSL-2750U Dlink router.
I have a MacBook Pro with various choices of OS (Ubuntu, OS X 10.6, 10.7, Win 7).
I have an external iomega 500GB USB hard drive.
I've plugged the drive into the back of the router. Clicked the button so that the USB light is on. However, going to the router page in a browser, my disk does not show up in 'storage devices'. This is true whether I look at it from Mac OS X or from a Win 7 browser.
Having searched for a few hours, I've found references to Samba, Shareport, and some Network Utility that's supposed to be on the install DVD. My install disk that came with the router does not contain Samba, Network tools, Shareport or anything else.
Any help
really appreciated.
