AP dlink dir 600 connect to wireless router
« on: May 05, 2012, 02:08:29 AM »

Hello, I followed this guide http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=40856.0 but then I am lost about how to connect the AP to the wireless router. And how to use the same SSID. Should I setup WPS?

Thank you.

It seems the wireless router and the AP have to be connected by a wired network? Is that it?

If your turning your router into an AP, yes, it has to be wired.

There is only the Turning a Router into an AP process. If your needing to extending coverage of WiFi wirelessly, I recommend that you check out and review DAP 1360, 1522 or 1525.

Thank you for your reply.

I have seen some manuals about brigding wireless routers. But the routers were comtrend.

Dlink routers don't have the bridge option?

No, they do not. DAP models have bridging options.
