DCS-2120 No StartTLS option

I have just got a DCS-2120 and am trying to set up the email notification.

I have searched these forums and am confident that I have the gmail settings correct, however on my software, which I have just downloaded from dlink, there is no "StartTLS' option or any TLS option at all.
It is simply missing from the menu. In the status log, I get

"Jun 3 16:00:43 MAIL: Server=smtp.gmail.com; unexpected reply: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. r2sm21201682wif.7"

Any ideas how I get round this will be gratefully received.
