Missing serial number - any advice regarding firmware?
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:31:51 AM »

I'm based in the UK and am using a DIR-655 router but I have no record of its serial number (there is no sticker on the item, and the original box is now missing) - is there any way I can ascertain which version of the router I have? As I understand matters, I need to know this so that I can apply the correct firmware upgrade, which is what I wish to do. Any help will be gratefully received! Thanks in advance  Alan W

Log into the routers web page a find the FW on the Status/Device Info page. If v1.xx, means its a Rev A, if v2.xx, means its a Rev B router. There only been Rev A and B routers.

UPDATE: There is a Rev C model out now. FW version starts with v3.xx
