wget - website not resolving
« on: July 26, 2012, 06:14:08 AM »

Hi - I'm trying to use wget via telnet to download twonkyserver - but am getting the message:

Resolving www.twonkyforum.com...        failed: Name or service not known.
wget: unable to resolve host address `www.twonkyforum.com'

Any ideas how I can resolve?

Thanks.

Make you that you have configured your DNS settings correctly.

A failure to resolve a host name is the result of a DNS issue. It means that either the DNS entries are incorrect or the DNS323 cannot find a path to the specified DNS server. So, check you default gateway setting as well. Also ensure all your systems are in the same subnet. You can verify using the 'ping' command. I suspect this all belongs in another forum since 'wget' is not an embedded option.
