See my previous post regarding this router and Windows XP.

I tried Shareport Version 3.0 and 4.11 on a Windows HP Laptop with Vista 64 bit and a Windows 7 Starter Edition 32 bit HP Notebook.  In both cases "No Server Found" Errors were all I ever could get.  In both cases I loaded the trusty V1.17 version of Shareport and both machines had no issues with Flash drives or printers.  Never even had to mess with the ports on the Vista Machine.

The only conclusion I can draw is that the router and/or the 1.21 firmware is the limiting factor.  I'm a little reluctant to try the 1.3x firmware since I do have basic functionality and I can't go back to 1.2x firmware.

Special note on printers:  Make sure the printer driver and functionality is in place with a direct USB connection before trying to hook up to the router USB port.  Windows must have a working driver present with a direct connect before the router USB will work.  Once that connection is proven, move the USB to the router and connect.  Windows should find the printer and load the driver for the Shareware port.  You'll then have two printer drivers for the same printer.  Label one direct and one Shareport to avoid any hair pulling later if you print to the wrong one by accident.

Anybody out there got a working Dir-655 A3 router with 1.3x Firmware and V3 or 4 Shareport?
