I have a DIR 655 router and a Brother MFC 240C Print/Fax/Scan.
When I first set up Shareport a few years ago, everything worked fine. We ended up not using it, though, as our Desktop computer did not have a wireless connection, so we shared printing through that computer instead.
Now that we wireless on our Desktop, we wanted to use Shareport again. Unfortunately, it isn't working.
I reinstalled Shareport on my Compaq laptop, and it worked like a charm. That is, until we set it up on the Desktop.
We send a request to disconnect from the laptop, which worked, and then printed from the Desktop. Problem is, when we reconnected to the laptop, it said it wasn't configured, and then couldn't find the print driver.
The only way I could get it to work again (after checking this and other forums and trying several suggestions), was to uninstall Shareport, uninstall the print driver, reinstall the print driver, and reinstalll Shareport. Then it worked again.
However, it now could not find the print driver from the Desktop. So - we decided to forget about printing from the desktop for now, as I had several pressing items that I needed to print from the laptop.
So - I decided to set it to connect whenever needed (no sharing), and again it worked great. That is until I had to re-boot my computer. Now it is no longer configured, and can't find the driver again.
Getting very frustrated with this...
