Port 21 and 80?
« on: September 11, 2012, 12:11:51 AM »

Hi

I bought a NAS DNS-320, and was wondering, can I disable port 80 and 21 in my router,
when I'm using for example port 443 in HTTPS and lets say port 1025 in FTPS?

I'm usin SSL on both http and ftp.

Thanks!

Just add port-forwarding entries for active port(s) will do.

I did portforwarding with port 443 for HTTPS and 1025 for FTPS.

Now the problem is that I cant access the ftps with my external IP, but it works with the internal.
The HTTPS works great.

Whats wrong?

My router is a netgear wnr1000v2

EDIT I also opened a port for ftps passive mode and then it works. Why doesnt it work in Active mode?
