Hai,

I just buy DNS-320 to replace my DNS-321 and i have problem about copy video type file to the DNS (using drag and drop). when i copy a video file to dns it transfer like normal got 1%, 2%... when complete the size of file at dns show "0" ....

but when i using Ajaxplorer or "Web File Server" upload the video file it normal ... why like this ?

I've raised this issue before, it looks to be an issue with the SMB system. There is a new beta out, I'll follow up here if it fixes the issue.

Can you post in the firmware wishlist thread to validate the issue happening?

I can solve it with a workaround. Using NFS that is supported by Windows 7.

And the exact route of our devices is:

\\yournasip\mnt\HD\HD_a2

and works.

Remember, when you setup your NFS using the web, into the host cell you have to put 192.168.1.0/24 if you want that any of the pcs of your networks can use this NFS service.

Just got this box today and also have the 0KB issue, which I assume still isn't fixed? I need to get around 600gb onto the drive and I'm thinking FTP might be the best? Trying Ajax but it seems very slow. Not technically network minded at all I'm afraid.

I've enabled FTP and I'm using my default admin account to try and log onto it. My FTP client connects but then can't find any initial folders. Do I need to set a new user up? If so, how? Many thanks!

interresting on this "0KB issue" is that, when I copy file from Win 7 or form WinXP, then file is growing  during copying but at finish has file 0 KB.
when I copy the same file through linux (i tested Debian and Ubuntu) files are copied without any problems

and second interresting: "0KB issue" is only for bigger files (files up to ~100MB are without problems)

I had the same problem today and found a solution in an italian forum. In my case, the problem came from TeraCopy, a file copier that I use. I had to set a flag to use the system cache (Preferences -> check 'Use system cache').

If you are using TeraCopy or some other file copier instead of the Windows default copy, it might be your case as well.

I also use Teracopy. Does TC warn you after the copy that the copy test is bad ?
In summary, is the use of TC dangerous ?

This appears to be a windows problem. 

We have not had any problems copying files up to 8GB on our all OS/2 network - something we do on a regular basis with the weekly backup from our servers.

Then petohl has found that linux appears not to have the problem either.

If you use the normal Windows C&P, there shouldn't be any problem

TC issue occur in versions prior to 2.03. The latest 2.03 version should have fixed the TC issue, at least I don't see it occurring at my side anymore.
