I got this router last week and works ok, performance wise. i used to have a linksys wrtg5g2.
I have a synology NAS hooked up to this router, and the synology registers a dynamic dns name for itself.
i have port forwarding setup correctly, and i am able to access the NAS services from outside my lan.
but inside my lan, i am not able to use the dynamic dns name of my NAS at all to access it! on the linksys this worked by default.
now i searched the dlink forums, and i believe the problem is that NAT loopback is not supported on this router...and its frustrating!!!
the other alternative is to enter the mulitple ports one by one in the virtual server and not under port forwarding, and i refuse to do this. its silly. i might as well get a different router. and there are not enough lines, especially to include all the ports need for data transfer on passive FTP.
this is really disappointing and i am considering returning this router. can anyone pls help with some other ideas maybe?
also i tried turning off spi and change to only endpoint filtering on the router firewall. didnt work.
