External User Database - Active Directory
« on: November 29, 2012, 10:11:10 PM »

Hello to everybody.
I have setup a VPN Gateway for my users that work from home. PPTP.
I am facing a problem with User Authentication since we use Network logon from Windows 7 to connect both to VPN and Domain. Till now i was using a Local User Database with Users having same domain Password with VPN password......but domain Passwords by Policy change every 3 months.
So i tried to use External User Database to authenticate against LDAP but with no Luck.
Does anybody has a concrete example of how this is done....i know i am missing something...but i don't know what.
My domain is a Windows 2000 level domain with a Windows 2008 domain Controller and an auxiliary Windows 2000 controller and i am using PPTP Vpn connections

Thanks in advance
