Having trouble with scandisk
« on: August 13, 2013, 09:37:00 AM »

Hello. I have a DNS325 and am running firmware 1.01 with 2x Wester Digital 2TB configured as Raid 1. I want to run scandisk because I am having troubles with movies freezing on my bluray player which supports DLNA. I am trying to trouble shoot and I have to start somewhere. My freezing problem is intermittant. SMART says everything is okay but when I run scandisk it "sticks". Today the screen says 32%. Before I only got to 10%. I would like to see scandisk complete and give me a report. The help screen says try a third party scanning software. Any suggestions if I have to go this route? I have not upgraded the firmware because I read somewhere that scandisk was deleted from new releases. I only use the 325 as a movie server. Thankyou

Maybe I need to be more patient. It has jumped up to 37%. Maybe this process takes longer than I expected. Will keep you posted. Thanks.

Scandisk finished and everything checked out okay. Process did take almost 2 hours.
