Maybe it's time for a new router?

I was downloading books on my e-reader and i notice it said network open.......Went to settings online and sure enough no security..don't know what happened.....I changed to WPA personal and wpa only i believe and i still get the same message that its open on my e-reader..being out of warrenty i'm not calling tech support.any ideas..

Ensure your e-reader is connecting to the right SSID and our wifi router. Recommend using WPA2 and AES only if your reader supports that mode of security. Make sure your routers log in has a password set and your the online one with knowledge of the password.
