I've been searching extensively all evening and can't find a solution for my iPhone 3G ver 2.2.1 not connecting to my newly upgraded firmware on the router. Every solution I've seen involved one or the other needing updates. My MacBook connects fine, sees it, and has no indication that anything is out of the ordinary from any other router, as it has from moment 1.

Please help a fella out and see if I'm missing something obvious:

Enable Wireless : Checked
Wireless Network Name : all lowercase, no spaces or numbers, etc.
802.11 Band : 5GHz
802.11 Mode : Mixed
Enable Auto Channel Scan : Checked
Wireless Channel : Auto - grayed out
Transmission Rate : (Mbit/s) Auto
Channel Width : Auto
Visibility Status : Visible

Security Mode :   WPA Personal

WPA Mode : Auto
Cipher Type : Both
Group Key Update Interval : 3600 (seconds)

I have a 10-character hex key

Thanks SO much for any insight here.

The iphone only support 2.4GHz radio.. Change your 802.11 band to 2.4GHz.

Thank you. That worked, but I'm not willing to be on the same band as our wireless home phone system. It's nice to have an answer now, though.
