Need help finding volume after upgrading firmware

Hi,

Prior to upgrading the firmware for DNs-323, I had two volumes. "Volume1" and "volume2". Volume2 has the majority of my data.

When I upgraded the firmware, I can only see volume1. How can I get volume2 back?

I'm novice with the file system and this new firmware. Your help is appreciated.

Firmware upgrades don't usually cause volumes to disappear, so you probably need to troubleshoot this from a "missing volume" point of view.

Depending on the disk configuration you were using - Volume_2 could have been the second hard drive, or, a partition on either drive - so start there - tell us what disk configuration you had - standard volumes, or some form of RAID.

Also, log into the management interface and check the disk status - does it show both disks?

Apparently there was two RAID partitions on the harddrive.

How can I find the second partition?

I'm a novice, so if you need more information, please give me instructions.

A DNS-323 will only allow one RAID volume.

Are both of the drives the same size?

As fordem says, you can have only one RAID volume but if your drives are of differing sizes then you can end up with a RAID volume and a second standard volume in the remaining space.

If your drives are different sizes then the larger one will have the second volume on it.  As mit appears that you don't have your missing data backed up then you need to read the sticky topic 'DNS-323 - data recovery (windows PCs)' and use the information ther to attempt to recover your data.
