I'll make those changes and get back to you.

I have a question in the meantime.  My desktop computer is between a steel drawer and a phone (5.8ghz). I have my router next to the phone currently.  I can't move the router any further so either next to the phone or on top of the drawer.

So my question is, is it better to put the router on top of the steel drawer or leave it next to the phone?  I want to remove as much interference as possible.

I would put it up on the drawer however this being steel could also effect the radio waves being emitted from the router. I don't think too much however might. The 5Ghz phone shouldn't effect the router however could introduce some noise on the frequency. It's best to keep the router away from other radio emitting products as much as possible.

Sorry I was busy.  I finally get around to this.  Please see below for my current setup.

>>What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
>>Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?

My current setting is Mixed 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b.  My other modes are

1) G only
2) N only
3) B only
4) Mix G and B
5) Mix G and N

>>Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.

Currently set to 20Mhz

>>Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the >>channel is clear.

Right now I have Enable Auto Channel Scan ON and Wireless Channel is at 2.437GHz - CH 6

>>What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi >>adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.

My security mode is NONE now because I'm using MAC filtering. Should I select a security mode in addition to MAC filtering?

>>Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.
Don't see these options under Advanced

>>Try turning off Short GI, WLAN Partition, and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under >>Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

Already off for Short GI and WLAN Partition.  Extra Wireless Protection not found.

>>Enable WMM Enable Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
Already set
