Hi to all forum members!
It were some bugs into the firmware and I decided to upgrade it. I've downloaded the latest DIR-615 K1 firmware from ftp.dlink.com and I've uploaded it into the router's web ui via IE8 browser. Then it rebooted itself. After that it was no web panel, no ping to 192.168.0.1, the led of wireless connection wasn't active anymore.
I've tried to do the actions from
JavaLawyer advice:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=31956c3405dcd393021cf2dd83b3d16d&topic=11596.0There were probably no effect.
Also, I've tried the next sequence of actions (from another topic of forum):
- to set IP of machine to 192.168.0.1/24;
- hold "reset" button and plug it on;
- wait 15 sec;
- release the reset button;
- goto in browser to http://192.168.0.1/ and upload an image of firmware;
In this case (after waiting over 15 sec) I was unable to open in browser this url: http://192.168.0.1/
and there were no ping to 192.168.0.1.
I've bought this router from hands, and I'm not able to bring it to the service center by the warranty. So I've decided to look inside it.
There is a serial flash chip (MX25L3206EM2I-12G):
http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/MX25L3206EM2I-12G/1092-1132-ND/2744815Is it able to be flashed using simple SPI flashing tool by that firmware from ftp.dlink.com,
or it is able to be solved in a simpler way?
