Moving Data within NAS
« on: June 02, 2014, 01:08:05 AM »

Hi,

I want to organize my data inside NAS and hence wants to move data to different folders. Is there any way to do it?

If I use my laptop over WiFi or Ethernet, it is very-very slow. Basically all the data is moved using laptop.

Is there any app which can allow user to organize DNS-320L? maybe telnet?

I've found that using ftp is a good way to move files on the NAS.

If you have an android device I use ES File Explorer to connect to my NAS via ftp and move stuff around.

Using the "My Files" apps on the box itself issues CP, MV, and so on commands directly on the box, meaning no extra traffic over the network.
