Hi all,
I just bought myself a new DIR-826L router to improve the wireless range in my 2 storey house. The DIR-826L is connected to the modem/router combo provided by my ISP. The modem/router combo was set to bridge mode and I had configured the DIR-826L to do the PPPoE connection.
I have 3 D-Link IP Cams installed and they all are connected wirelessly to the DIR-826L. Everything work perfectly and I can view my cam and DIR-826L from myDlink site.
But I am having a problem with the 5GHz band connection. I have a Windows 8 PC installed with TP-Link Dual Band PCIe Adapter and I have a Samsung Galaxy Note. Both can see the SSID for the 5GHz and I can connect to it but there was no access to Internet.
FYI, the DIR-826L is placed on the ground floor and Windows 8 PC is upstair with a concrete floor in between. But the signal that I am getting on the PC is strong i.e. at least 4 out of 5 bar so I guess there is no issue with the wireless range.
For my Galaxy Note, the phone connects to the 5GHz network fine with a good signal but still no access to the Internet.
This is my first post in this forum, and I tried to do some googling but cant seem to find any solution. I am worried that I bought a faulty unit which if that is the case, I need to send it back to the shop where I bought it.
