Message Says Need to Download Java Runtime Envirnomnet - Already Done

I am using Windows 8 and have had no problem connecting to my camera the last few months.  Now when I log into my camera, I get the green check mark on the camera symbol, but I get a pop-up that says I need to download Java Runtime Environment..... but it is already installed.  Just to check, twice I re-downloaded it and re-installed it, but I still have the same problem.  The problem occurs on both IE and Firefox.  I checked the Java settings and the box to enable the browser to use Java is checked.  I can view my camera fine on my Android cell phone.  Any ideas?  Thanks much, Elaine
