I am trying to set up 4 cameras to view ,with remote live view. I set up my server with IP addresses of 192.168.1.80   ....   85.
The screen has only the option for 1  video channel. I have seen on-line screen shots that have options for channel 1 through 8.
I want to assign each camera to a different channel so I will be able to use remote live view to show all 4 cameras  at the same time. I can only show one at a time.

I have seen posts in this forum saying it can be done .What am I missing. Do I need a different version than 3.3 or some obscure windows 7 setting?

Thanks  Roger

Looking at DLINK FAQS I see two FAQS that have a snapshot showing video channels.

http://www.dlink.com/us/en/support/faq/multimedia/cameras-and-surveillance/mydlink/why-can-t-i-see-my-camera-video-in-d-view-cam

The FAQ in the link above shows only one video channel available.

http://www.dlink.com/us/en/support/faq/multimedia/cameras-and-surveillance/dcs-series/how-do-i-add-a-camera-in-d-view-cam-v3-x

The FAQ above shows 8 video channels available. When I add  a camera as in the ink above I see only 1 video channel.

Has DLINK decided to have only one video channel in D-VIEWCAM and concentrate on MOBILE support?

Should I forget about  trying to use more than 1 camera in REMOTE D-VIEWCAM?

Is this a DEAD ISSUE?

When RemoteLiveViewer is started on another computer an XML file is created. See below.

 Directory of C:\Users\try\AppData\Roaming\DlinkViewCam\WebLiveViewer\192.168.1.103_5150

04/11/2013  02:03 PM    <DIR>          .
04/11/2013  02:03 PM    <DIR>          ..
04/11/2013  02:15 PM             3,546 WebLiveViewerSettings.xml
               1 File(s)          3,546 bytes
               2 Dir(s)  302,234,857,472 bytes free

In the file it has a section:

  <RemoteServer>
      <NextServerID>1</NextServerID>
      <ServerCount>1</ServerCount>
      <Server0000>
         <ServerID>0</ServerID>
         <ServerName>192.168.1.103</ServerName>
         <Address>192.168.1.103</Address>
         <Port>5150</Port>
         <UserName/>
         <Password/>
         <SavePassword>0</SavePassword>
         <AutoLogin>1</AutoLogin>
         <RemoteCamera>
            <CameraCount>0</CameraCount>
         </RemoteCamera>
      </Server0000>
   </RemoteServer>

When it worked it must have set up the multiple server address for the remote system to use.
Surely someone in DLINK would know the module(s) that did this and put it(them) back into the latest release.
Then we would be able to see more than one camera at a time. One on each server included.

Can DLINK respond to this please?  Thank you.

I have tried every version of D-ViewCam  I could find. I did not find any that allowed more than 1 server setting in the add camera dialog. It would be interesting to know what exact version that the few who saw multiple servers available in the camera setup.

If this is never going to work it would be great if the documentation in the DLINK FAQS show that only 1 server is available in both of the documents referenced above. That way people will not have to waste their time trying to get something that will never work to work!

A few minutes to update the documentation would be well spent!  If it should allow 8 servers it would be nice to have a date for a fix or actual implementation.

i can tell you right now that you are only getting the 1 channel..
bringing in all 8 was talked about literally 2 years ago.   D-Link would have to bring
in a copy of DViewcam from Taiwan that would then cost money.. they would have to charge for
those additional channel views..  noting: that's 2yr old first hand knowledge.. things haven't changed
much i see.
