Video

1. Video/image not clear for a HD Camera

2. Night vision (Auto Mode) must only turn on when there is no light. Or maybe a setting to adjust the sensitivity. No point if I need to keep on changing from Day Mode to Auto Mode. Auto Mode needs to be more smarter.

3. Focus not so clear after calibration. I had to manually adjust the video focus while viewing on the phone.

4. Add a feature to Auto-Patrol based on a predefined timing while recording.

5. Could not view/manage SD video recordings when I renamed the Camera Name/Label. It looks like the model number "DCS-5222L" was hard-coded.

I chose this product over PROLINK PIC1003WP Pan/Tilt because it has night vision. I have the PROLINK PIC1005WN with Night Vision and video quality is much better (iphone/android) even if it is just a VGA camera. There is also no need to adjust any focus or night vision setting/sensitivity.

MyDLink Application

1. Iphone/Android App always rotate when pan/tilting the camera

2. Navigation buttons not so responsive even when connected on the same WIFI network

3. No feature to view/playback SD video recordings from phone

4. Option not to auto-login for security purposes

5. Add Patrol button

Please check out the features of "mLiveView" app.  All video/camera features can be accessed through the app and it is FREE!

Thank you.

The image sensor is TINY. What else do you expect?

You probably need more illumination (light) in what you are viewing.

Try IR MODE NIGHT MODE ONLY fulltime if issues with daytime viewing.
