Hi all, I have the following configuration:

Internet <-- tp-link modem <-- dir 655 || wireless client || dir 615

The dir 615 has a dd-wrt latest build installed, and it is connected via wireless client mode to the 655. This setup creates two subnets, one 192.168.2.x on the 615 and one 192.168.0.x on the 655.

My goal is to have machines connected to the two different routers see each other; at the moment I can ping machines connected to the 655 from those connected to the 615, but not vice-versa.

I read on a blog (http://www.hyllander.org/content/d-link-dir-655-how-create-static-route-lan) that I can achieve what I need with static routes; I tried what is shown in the blog post, but am unsure what to put in destination ip and gateway...

any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!

You could try this with the 615:
Turning a router into an AP.

You'll need to refer to the WRT support site on how to configure routers loaded with WRT FW.

Thanks for your answer; I have already stumbled on that thread in the past... it looks promising, but it talks about connecting the two routers with a cable, which is not an option for me... I'm also pretty sure what I need can be done with routing, since the last comment on the blog post I linked describes my very same setup...

Theres only a few DIR series routers that support wireless briding and the 655 and 615 are not one of them. Other then that you'll need to refer to the WRT site to get configuration help on the 615 loaded with WRT FW.
