Telnet Support automagic in 1.8?
« on: September 22, 2009, 02:31:51 PM »

I've been fighting with 1.07 to activate Telnet support and get anything in FUN_PLUG to work with little success

uh - MAC OSX
Unit - will collect data
Disks - 2 Seagate 7200 1.5tb drives...

Also - Backups - hooked up via the USB drive?  Automatic?  Incremental?  Huh - there's frightfully little docs other then older Wiki's on the subject...

Please try not to yell n00b @ me too much - I'm an Old man and cry easily ;-)

Uhhh - ok - I won't yell - but you need to understand that fun_plug is not supported by D-Link and you're unlikely to get help asking about fun_plug related problems in D-Link's forum.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.

Well - I was simply trying to get Firefly going on the DNS, however the beta plus the FireFly software add-on are ALL working REALLY well... I tested on my mac - i'm going to test it on the Windows side...

I LIKE THIS BETA!!!

I don't think mentioning fun plug is a problem. He was not asking for support, he was complaining.

Fonz is a dam GENIUS. What he provided was a god send. DLink is still trying to provide what he added out of his own kindness. I have been waiting for working factory NFS forever.

Good day,
Steve
