Recurring HTTP / FTP folder download fails

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a recurring ftp folder backup, i've put all of the required information in and tried a test which worked, but when the scheduled time is reached after a second or 2 the status just goes to failed. There isn't anything listed in the log and as the test worked i'm a bit lost as to why it failed. Both the ftp folder and folder on the 320 are fine and the login details are correct.

Any ideas please?

A little more detail would help.

What are you trying to backup from and where is it relative to the network? 

If it is on the internal network are the permissions correct to allow this? 

Have you made sure you have the correct user name and password - remember the nas uses Linux which means I sees names and passwords as case sensitive and will fail if you type Name when it should be name. 

If it is outside the local network is the router setup to allow this - correct ports open etc.?
