I have a DLINK DIR655 router which I would like to connect my existing network to increase wireless coverage to a specific room in my house where the wireless signal is weak.

I need help on how to do this.  I can see the DIR655 with it's own SSID Name under "wireless networks".

However, I want the DIR655 to use the existing SSID name I already have in place.

Can someone help me with settings on how to do this?  And the other I have is that when I hit 192.168.0.1 I can't get to the DIR655 configuration page?

Please help.  Thanks.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

You can do this:
Turning a router into an AP.
