DNS-345 Firmware Update Problem
« on: October 14, 2013, 03:55:34 AM »

Hi All,

I am trying to update the firmware on my DNS-345. It is currently on v1.01.
I downloaded DLINK_DNS345.1.02b04(1.02.0129.2013).zip from the Taiwan website but everytime I try to upload (from local LAN) I get error 413 - Request Entity Too Large

I have tried a factory reset, using the hard reset button on the back of the unit, no change.
The initial reason for trying the update is that the unit lost its network share for one of my JBOD volumes, and now it wont add the network share again. I go through the usual method of adding a network share, but it just does not appear.

Any help would really be appreciated

You need to extract the FW from the .zip archive before uploading. That could cause the error.
