FTP Setup.

Hello all. 

Has anybody gotten the FTP option to work with this camera?  And if so how did you set up the path to point to the ftp share.  The instructions say one thing but that one thing doesn't work.  FTP is setup locally on my NAS box which does work.  Or is this another one to add to the Firmware which list?

I have some troubles with ftp settings with the 932L.....

Can you tel me what to fill in?

I have a ftp over ip adress, butt won't work  :-[

I have setup FTP/video with motion detection.  I see folders with the current date created on the FTP server, with AVI files created any time there is motion.  But the files are always zero length.  Anyone seen this?

I too am unable to get my DCS-942L to talk to my FTP server.  I can log in to the ftp server with the username/password I supply in the setup page, using a windows command line.  I never get ANY files from the camera regardless of the settings I use on snapshot or video settings.  The firmware is 1.11/1426.  There is of course no FTP TEST button to see if the camera is having some kind of issue though I have been extremely careful entering the password and the log seems equally useless.  I just paid $179 each for 5 of these cameras and feel as though it has been a complete rip off.

The FTP user info drops me directly into the path where files should be stored.

Suggestions?

Be careful what you fill in for the PATH.
For example, I have a ftp share on my router.  To access via command line I would:
$ftp 192.168.0.254
then enter name and pass
then change directory as below(my shared folder is called "share")
$cd share
then I can write a file
$put testfile

So on the cam I put
FTP Server        192.168.0.254
Username         myusername
Password           mypassword
Path                   share

Note that although "share" works for me, "/share" does not, "Share" does not(case sensitive), but "share/" does.
Maybe reset your camera, set it up wired first to test it out.

Confirming this issue
Folders are created with the current date, folder contain .jpg files at motion detection.  But the filesize are always zero. And files are only .jpg. Expected result are video files, such as .mp4

Using:
* DCS-5222L
* Firmware Version:1.11
* Firmware Build Number:2825
* Wired

Settings:
* Video Clip: Checked
* Path: abc
* Trigger by: Motion
* Passive Mode: Unchecked

I see the "Test" button
