does dns 323 with 1.10 roms work with toshiba hd

i have a dns 323, now with v1.10 roms. this unit has been wonderful. I started with 2- 500gb seagates and work my way to 2 1.5tb seagates. i now have 2 2tb toshiba's DT01aca200   these will not format beyond 14% they seem to be recognized fine. am long term computer and network user.. read pioneer, arrow in the back user and im pulling my hair out. drives format fine in stand alone win xp sp3 system. tried 2 500gb seagates and everything works and formats fine so i dont think its the system
