I get rid of this file

so i bought a dns 325 I am currently in the process of copying all my media to it. I am also a mac user.  I have copied my videos to the nas.  When I access them through my DVD there are duplicate file of the same video.  One is an avi file and Will play, but the other is also an avi file only it wont't play and the file name begins with a *_.  How do I get rid of this file.
