"Upgraded" firmware from some 1xx version to the latest v2.02. mostly because of certificate issues prohibiting video being displayed and the fact that saved .avi's were being mysteriously hidden and corrupted.
After flashing I attempted to load the local web GUI in various browsers and had them fail to accept my password. I found that it had been blanked. There was no password and in fact not only had all the setting been factory reset, but the whole days video recordings were missing. Once logged in under default credentials, I went to change the default null password. With no apparent way/button to accomplish this I found that you have to doubleclick the admin user to modify its password.
The camera list has also been blanked. Unfortunately, at the time of this post the Camera autodiscovery has proven fruitless and there is no apparent way to manually add a camera. I suppose I will let it bake overnight and keep my fingers crossed but for now I'm looking at 4 blank screens.
ATTN DLINK. While a firmware update was sorely needed, this is a superbly krappy implementation. It's as if there was 0 (ZERO, NULL, NO) attempt to check the candidate for quality or functionality before release. I'm guessing you subbed this out to the lowest bidder in some third world sh1thole and posted the resulting .BIN without even validating its operation.
Cant wait find out what other bugs await me once I manage to get a camera operational.
Great work guys.
