Looks like this issue happens because of new security features in Java version 7 update 45.

Looks like a tweak or two in the Java code on the camera could fix this.

Anyone have any ideas?

In Firefox I set the security settings for my Cloud camera IPs (including my DCS-5020L) for "Always Allow" which reduces the number of nag messages. I still get at least one per camera, however, when the Live View page is refreshed.

The message in your second screenshot (http://sdrv.ms/Kwd64S ) should not come back if you set the security to "Always Allow". I haven't found a way to circumvent the first message.

The ultimate solution would be for D-Link to evaluate usage of the Caller-Allowable_Codebase Manifest in the the camera's Java code.

The second screenshot is just the popup that comes up after clicking on the more info button on the first popup.

I've pretty much sold my soul to Google. I use Chrome for my browser. I haven't used Firefox in a long time. I'll need to investigate if Chrome has those settings that Firefox has.

As a workaround (for better or worse security wise) I downgraded to Java version 7 update 40. This version of Java doesn't cause the repetitive security nags that update 45 does. I can live with this until the firmware can get tweaked on the camera.

Lost "Live View" after updating to Java Version 7 Update 51

The following procedure can be used to adjust the Java security exceptions in Windows after updating to the latest Java version.

• Open the Start Menu on the bottom left of the Windows Task Bar
• Expand All Programs and navigate to the Java folder
  
• Open Configure Java inside the Java folder
  
• The Java Control Panel will open in a new window
  
• Select the Security tab
  
• Press the Edit Site List button
  
• Press the Add button and enter the D-Link Cloud camera URL or IP address
  
• Press OK (Edit Site List window will close)
  
• Press OK (Java Control Panel window will close)
  
  

Note: Selecting Java from the Windows Control Panel may not provide access to the Edit Site List option on all PCs. The above navigation path must be used to access these settings.
