Yeah, it's already unhooked and I don't plan on hooking it back up until it's at my dad's in a few days. My dad's computers are pretty old, so wake on lan is probably not an option on his computers. Since the wake on lan magic packet works from inside the same network, VPN seems to be the way to make this work on this router. If you can get connected to your router's network over the internet via VPN, the magic packet should wake the desired computer. Just make sure that channel 9 UDP port is forwarded (or virtual server) to either the .255 (broadcast) or the actual ip of the desired computer on your internal net.
