i set up the email log file but for some reason it will not email the logs when i hit the email logs button to test it out. I have tried 2 different email accounts just to make sure they were not being blocked some ware but no luck.

I also need a way to see what websites are being visited don't care what computer they are coming from. I run a RV park and we have some customers taking advantage of the free internet we supply. We have a business internet account and are paying extra due to this and going well over our limit. I found one culprit as several users were using Netflix so i have blocked that one. But im pretty sure someone is running a torrent of some sort and the upload and download at times is through the roof roughly 10-20 meg a min. After me kicking them off the network about 20 times and changing the password on the nanostation it was good for a while. I tried wire shark but it does not break down the site visited into a address just a ip address and i manually have to go and look up each one.

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
  • What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?

I think you'll need to set up some access control policy's as well...not sure how well the logs will be for you to collect this kind of information...I think it should collect some basic info though...

Hardware version is B not sure what firmware is on it i know i need to upgrade it as its 1 behind but just don't have the time to do that right now just in case i have issues. we are up in upper canada. Not sure what bearing my isp info has on email setup on the router?

The software i was testing last night was giving me more lines of info than i could read. But like i said it will not automatically brake a ip address back to a website. Once i figure out what website or torrent is being used i can create a few more access policys to block them. Not a easy task. Just to block netflix i had to make 3 entries and from what i have read it will not block the access from a dvd player, tv, xbox, playstation. as they use a different access?

After i changed password last time i was requesting that our long term people supply thier ip address but this only worked for so long until they rebooted. really have not found a way to supply each user with their own username and pass with the nano stations.

I recommend giving long term users reserved IP addresses. This will assign a particular IP address that will be tied to there devices MAC address. If they reboot there devices, the same IP address will be used and thus you can use this to maintain the access control policies.
