Hi,
Would someone be kind enough to lend some tips on how to achieve this. I'm not a networking expert but understand concepts and with a bit of guidance can sometimes figure things out. More detail is great, thanks!
I have a device outside that is a router - it is not connected to the internet.
I want to connect a computer to it from inside the house.
I have a D-Link DWL-3200AP, managed wireless access point.
My AP currently works for all my wireless devices to use the internet normally.
Is there a way for my AP to connect to the outside device so my wired computer can communicate with that router?
Device Outside
- IP = 192.168.3.100
- Does have DHCP running on it (can use static IPs too of course)
Home Network
192.168.0.x/24 default VLAN
I also have a Cisco PIX firewall and a small HP Procurve switch.
Any ideas?
How would the AP connect to the wireless router?
Perhaps by setting up the VLAN on the AP, and Procurve?
Or perhaps just a manual static route on the windows computer?
