Help with fun_plug
« on: March 08, 2014, 12:14:13 PM »

I am trying to install fun_plug on my DNS-320.
I have copied the files fun_plug and fun_plug.tgz to the root directory of volume_1 but I don't know what to do next.
Is there a dummies guide anywhere or can somebody tell me what to do in simple terms please.
I am trying to set it up so I can use one of the drives as a Time Machine backup for my MacBook.
TIA

Barney

The following site contains a lot of tutorials regarding DNS-320 and FunPlug :
http://wolf-u.li/nas/tutorials/ffp/ it's in german, but you can always use Google Translate.

This is the complete step-by-step FunPlug installation (again, in german but you can translate it) :

P.S. You should use Wolf_Uli's repository, it usually has the latest versions of packages.

P.S.2 there's another tutorial in english, it's for an older version of FunPlug (0.5) and for DNS323 which is similar, might be usefull though

I drafted a long overdue FAQ sticky post for Fun_Plug: DNS ShareCenter - Alternative Firmware - Fonz Fun_Plug (FFP)

Please PM me if you have additional links or content to add to the post.  Thanks  ;)
