I have installed firmware 1.04 to enable the media server function and plug in a 1TB hard drive with about 2000+ video files into the USB port, I am able to see the video file from DLNA clients such as a PC and a smart TV. But I find that I never able to see all the video files from my hard drive in the DLNA client, the number of video files able to be listed in the DLNA client is accumulated very slowly. The first 10 minutes after I plug in the hard drive, I am able to see about 20 video files to be listed, if I wait for a day(overnight), I am able to see around 300 video files, still unable to list all files in my PC or smart TV. Even I accept that I can only see part of my video files, but waiting for a day to accumulate a list of 300 video files is still too slow.
Moreover, if I turn off my router or hard drive to save power, next time if I turn it on, the list will be accumulated from zero again. I notice that there is a .minidlna folder that contains a files.db file, it seems to be the database file that contains the video files directory to the DLNA client. This file is always restarted from zero everytime when the router or the hard drive is turned off and on.
Just wonder if there is any way to improve the speed to build the video file directory or to keep the database file not to be restarted from zero.
